About Highway 1
Based in Tomball Texas, Highway 1 LLC was founded by business partners Todd Drouin and Paul Konvicka. Highway 1 provides a multitude of pavement markings, temporary traffic control, permanent sign sales/installs, and work zone rental equipment. In a short time we have built a reputation on quality, safety and on-time job completion.
Mission
Our mission is to help guide and simplify construction projects by providing our industry with knowledge and expertise in traffic control, pavement marking and sign manufacturing and installation. Our team’s distinct attitude towards 1st in class service and commitment to safety will hold true from inception to the completion of your projects. Through our remarkable performance, Highway 1 will build lasting relationships with our customers while continuing to keep costs low and expectations high.
Brand Identity
The strategic objective is to create a recognizable and distinguishable brand identity to capitalize on the outstanding and aspirational Highway 1 brand name. The conceptual thinking and resulting designs are inspired by highway signage, transportation iconography, and colors associated with traffic control. Highways are large longterm projects that require upkeep and maintenance for decades and are the backbone of interstate travel and commerce—a positive association. Additionally, the name conveys “no project too large” and the use of a numeral “1” conveys first-in-class service.
Todd Drouin 
President
Todd Drouin has over 20 years of experience in the pavement marking and traffic control industry. He co-founded Highway 1 with a simple vision; to create a strong, manageable company with a reliable and trustworthy reputation.
Todd honed his skills through out high school and college while working on the road in the hot Houston summers. In 1999, he earned a bachelor’s degree in science from the University of Wisconsin-Superior. Since, Mr. Drouin has studied the industry specific art of pavement marking and traffic control and in 2016 started his own company, Highway 1 LLC.
Todd along with his wife Angie reside in Houston with their three girls; Ava, Kate, and Dylan.
Paul Konvicka
VIce President
Paul Konvicka, a native Houstonian, graduated from St. Thomas High School in 1993 as a three-sport athlete. He continued his education at Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches and earned his bachelor’s degree in 1998. Paul spent his early professional life as an estimator and project manager for large construction firms. In 2006, Mr. Konvicka began estimating in the pavement marking and traffic control industry and quickly developed a reputable name. His dream of being a business owner became true in 2016 when he co-founded Highway 1 LLC. Paul resides in Northwest Houston along with his wife Dawn.
